Jittery feeling

I've been doing really good with my anxiety I haven't had a panic attack and probably two weeks which is good for me because I used to have an every day but for the past 2 1/2 days I've been just jittery( I think it stems from a really bad dream I had the other night). I've being doing things to calm me down so I don't have to take a Xanax. But I was wondering do you guys take Xanax or something to cut the edge of the jittery feeling. I've been told by my doctor that I can that's what they are there for and I used to take four .25 mg Xanax a day. But I haven't had any Xanax probably in two weeks and I try not to take it because I just hate drugs.

Never taken this so cant really answer greatly but could the jittery feeling possibly be caused by coming of the xanax as it's been a few weeks and you were on four. Or did you lower down? Have they helped you in this situation before? I don't think anybody likes to take drugs but no one likes to feel bad either and going from four to one if you were to take it .... is really great .... hope you get an answer soon :-)

Hi Aliciar wow you have done very well on your medication, but I agree with your other reply from needtobehappy perhaps because you was taking 4 x tablets a day then none it is a bit of withdrawl symptoms.but you shouldn't feel bad if you have to take one now and then if it helps you ,can you cut them in half ? And maybe take half and see if this helps you.a Dr once made me feel bad when he said I was taken my diazepam for to many weeks ( I had lost my mum in Nov 2016) and this gave me really bad anxiety. But a friend of mine said take the medication 2 mg of diazepam when you need it that's why you were given it,and take no notice of what that Dr told you,he had no right to make you feel guilty for taking them when you need them.so I did and then I started to reduce them myself one week of half tablet morning and night.then week of half tablet in morning then week of half tablet every other day.by doing this the withdraw is gradual.I now take none but if I feel I do need something I know I have them.

Forgot to say I still get the odd day or two where I get the jitters and can feel a bit on edge but I know it will pass and I just tell myself it's tension and you got to still get some tension and stress in your life.IT DOSENT MEAN its anxiety.everyone gets stressed

Yeah I agree it's probably just life causing the jittery feeling. I should have noted that I was taking the 4 xanaxs a day a month ago I cut it down gradually. To where it's as needed now. But yeah I went to the gym tonight and that helped relax me... thanks I can definitely see where taking one or even half every now and then isn't a bad thing. I'm just always afraid of getting addicted ( but I don't think that will happen)
