Alright so I've been trying to get over my fear of MS as I have had symptoms like needle pinpricks and coldness in certain areas of my body that are aggravated by the wind, also weakness in muscles and fatigue and stuff but over the last week I've had two symptoms that really concern me.
- a uti which apparently happens commonly in MS - I feel like I can't empty my bladder properly
- oral thrush which apparently occurs at the onset of MS I'm so scared !!!
These two symptoms have basically convinced me I have MS, I've been to the doctors but I haven't directly told them I'm scared I have MS and they haven't connected my symptoms ! I want to cry constantly, I feel so helpless as I'm only 17 help me please ?

Tell your doctor the concern and fear that you have about MS. There's a blood test for it. Everything you described can also happen to someone with anxiety since your immune system can also be affected by all the constant worry. Your best bet would be to just rule it out so the anxiety for that disorder will be eliminated.
Thank you but I actually can't go to the doctor again because I just went and I can't afford it what do you think I should do ?
UTI is very common and a load of people get it often . It might even be related to the oral thrush.
Personal hygiene can have something to do with UTI in women.
A good thing for UTI besides what the doctors give you is cranberry juice, one or two glasses every day.
You might have health anxiety which means you always think the worst over the slightest thing. I used to do it too I know what it is like.
Do you Google the symptoms? If so try to stop as it is the worst thing that you can do, it's like you are searching for the worst case scenario every time you search Google.
So please stop worrying, your docs have checked you and I am sure they know what they are doing.
Take care of yourself and try to relax, you will be ok.
I know how you feel about worring if you have MS or not. I deal with Health Anxiety as well. I was YouTubing and came across this video that was titled "thought i had MS but didn't" I watched the video and now think that I have MS. I'm getting a MRI to rule this out in 2 weeks. Someone mentioned a blood test, you cannot find out if you have MS with a blood test only an MRI can check for signs and symptons
My doctor puts up with my crazy requests for all the tests and i am very thankful for that
Until you have a really obvious symptom such as complete numbness down one side of your body, blindness or complete loss of movement of a limb and you have to have this symptom for days, you should probably try and be reassured that you don't have MS. I have wasted the last three years of my life convinced I have MS. I originally thought I had a brain tumour so I had an MRI which showed no tumour but some lesions on my brain. My doc said it may be MS so sent me to a neurologist who didn't really think it was. He told me these lesions can be caused by migraines, viruses etc. But I never got that absolute confirmation that it wasn't. Anyway I have had every physical symptom under the sun since then and have suffered terribly. I have been to so many medical professionals who don't believe I have it. I have now reached a point where I am just so tired of worrying about having this disease because at the end of the day if I do have it there's nothing I can do about it. I guess what I'm trying to say is you don't know if you have MS and given your symptoms the chances are that you don't. You are simply suffering from fear which we all are. Try and stand up to that fear and just think positive about your life. When you start thinking the worst just make yourself think about something else (something positive that makes you feel good) and in time your confidence against that fear will grow and you won't care about it anymore. Easier said then done I know! 😊
It could be all anxiety-related. I do not have MS but I do have needle pin pricks, coldness in certain areas of my body, fatigue and weakness and have just gotten over a UTI. No oral thrush, but there are likely many causes of oral thrush - could be related to antibiotics. I encourage you to speak up to the doctor and tell him/her your concerns about MS. As an old adage states: "Fear makes the wolf seem bigger."
