How can I stop the thoughts?

Truth is theres no quick fix to stopping the thoughts. It's just the nature if the brain the more you try not to think about something the more you're going to think about it. It's a touch thing to do and it took me forever to do it but you have to accept the thoughts as just thoughts and not let them affect you. It eventually trains your brain not to react to the thoughts and therefore the thoughts start to diminish from your conscious and subconscious. Have you tried meditation at all?

I would try it then, I use guided meditations on Youtube mostly. Mindfulness meditation is the best way to go because it teaches you to look at your thoughts from an outside perspective without judging them. Remember thoughts are just thoughts and they dont have to control you!

You cannot stop them but you can slow them down or redirect attention like switching to a different radio station. Learn to meditate. To begin with, you can find guided meditations on youtube. Later, you can learn to meditate on your own without the guide. You will see profound effect. You could also take a course in breathing offered by Art of Living. Look it up.
