I am a mother of 3 daughters with very strong personalities. I have bipolar disorder, major anxiety issues, and extreme self esteem problems. I look forward to participating in a community of people who actually understand what I suffer with, I have lost many friends because of my mental illness. My husband thinks I am lazy and faking it. I hope being here will bring some relief and that I can provide some insight to others as well.

Welcome to the Mad House, martaciga, 😊 actually we're all a lot saner than your average guy in the street because we recognise our problem and are doing something positive about it! My grandson was dignosed with bipolar disorder, his medication is successful in stabilising his feelings. In his case giving up substance abuse has helped a lot too, please don't think I'm suggesting that's relevant to you. In my experience people with self esteem problems have a lot more going for them, many more qualities and sensibilities, than that average guy in the street I mentioned earlier. It's a question of recognising those special gifts that are currently unrecognised and reminding yourself (and others) of them on a regular basis. Search and you will find.

I hope you stay with us and we learn from you and you learn from us which is what this fine forum is all about. Feel free to speak your mind here whenever you want, you are among friends here.
