Snehajoy, If you lost muscle mass while still being active that points more to a medical issue. I would set up an appointment to see an Endocrinologist who can do a study of the Adrenals. With this test you will know if this is a medical or mental issue. My best Snehajoy!

Snehajoy, I argued that concern with doctors who all refused to do the Adrenal Panel. One saying it was costly another saying you had to be hospitalized for the test and insurance wouldn't pay to the best argument from a doctor is that he didn't like patients who suggest what they should order..

I thought I had the symptoms of adrenal fatigue although it's been so long ago that I can't remember what pointed me in that direction. Maybe it was the length of time I had suffered that I felt some damage may have been done to the Adrenals.

I think that was the first time I gave up in pursuing it and still harbor bad feelings against that doctors insensitivity to severe anxiety.

I'm fine now and have been for that last 3 years after coming off long term Xanax and Ativan drugs. My mind is clear and sharp, my stamina is great, energy back and can deal with any spurts of anxiety that may pop up from time to time. That I owe to finally accepting anxiety. If you can find a doctor who will do those tests, I wish you well. At least it will clear that up in your mind that the symptoms aren't coming from the Adrenals x
