Wobbly/faint feeling when standing.

Sometimes I seem to get an unbalanced or faint feeling when I stand, which seems to get worse the more I focus on it. Especially in the shower when I am all alone to myself, I have been trying to find the root of this problem as it has been getting progressively worse over time and my worry is raising that it is something real and not related to anxiety.

Been trying to get a blood test done for probably a month or two but been very unlucky.

First time I got terrible food poisoning and was in no condition to get blood done, second time the appointment never got scheduled(basically walked in expecting I had an appointment but it was never confirmed.) and the third time most recently I got a terrible phlebotomist who spent 5 minutes trying to look for my vein, then went for the needle(still didn't know where it was) and was going to fill up 9 vials of blood in which I rushed out while trying to be as polite as possible.

Just wanted to know if anyone else had this, hopefully I can get something done soon.

EDIT: And to add, sometimes I will occasionally get a very lightheaded/dizzy feeling, almost like I am floating, it lasts no more than a second but throws me off sometimes.

Yes. Feel dizzy a lot when my anxiety starts to kick in. I feel like every time it scares me and I have to talk myself down. I always worry it is leading to something worse. I try to remind myself that I have had it before. I do notice when I get really anxious it gets worse. I think once my anxiety has been heightened, even when I am not panicking it tends to stick around. I felt it a lot today and it makes me upset. I wish for one day I could experience what it is like to not be afraid.

Hi LightSezor, I use to wonder why I was always apprehensive to take a bath or shower when I was alone. (It certainly wasn't from seeing the movie Psycho) It was my own internal fear of "what if" something should happen. I recently read that it is very common for anxious people to be afraid to take showers, baths or wash their hair. So you are not alone with that fear. It does have to do with that unbalanced feeling we all tend to get when anxious. Feeling unbalance makes us feel that we are not in control and that is frightening to us.

I hate being in a dentist's chair too. Not because I'm afraid of the dentist but because I lose the control to run if I had to. As for having things keep coming up when you are suppose to get a blood test, I'd say you are not meant to have it done. :)

As for that lightheaded/dizzy feeling, I get that too on occasion. A floating feeling that can throw you off. Don't know what it is. Inner ear or Anxiety or maybe it's just a fluke that people get but we are more sensitive to it.

LightSezor, wish you well. You are never alone in symptoms from Anxiety. WE are all here beside you going through the same thing. If it's true that there is strength in numbers then I'd rather be weak. Take care...
