Difficulty exercising

Hey guys, so back in 2010 I experienced my difficulty with exercising because of anxiety. For some reason the symptoms of working out made me more anxious and panic. But I found now that its normal.

However, when I tried to exercise when my anxiety was high I had the craziest symptoms afterward (also after sex, not even thinking of anxiety)

- severe headache & eye ache

- body aches

- severe fatigue , recovery about 2 days

- irritability and hunger

I found that this caused by adrenal fatigue, which can be caused by prolonged stress/distress due to prolonged panic or anxiety - hence why we also feel sleepy and tired a lot when experiencing anxiety. It depletes you!

The feeling I get the day after sex or exercise takes me into SEVERE anxiety and panic.

DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL THIS? I used to go to another therapist she was the director of an anxiety center for many many years and she looked at my like I had 3 heads. My doctor seemed to understand it and I'm really feel this has to be common with people with severe prolonged anxiety/panic.

I definitely can relate to being tired after having anxiety or panic attacks. I feel like my body crashes after having high anxiety or a panic attack. Exercising is important for the body and mind. I personally feel great after exercising it helps with my anxiety a lot. Try not to think about the symptoms when you exercise as they will make them worse. I sometimes get heart palpitations when I exercise but I try not to think about them. Maybe try going for walks and ease back into it. Or do a different activity to keep your body moving. Hope this helps.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing with us.

This sounds like you are suffering from Andrenal Fatigue if you feel worse not better (do not experience natural high) after exercise. There are lots of references via Mr Google. The one I found best is one that lists 75 symptoms of AFS and you can sign up for newsletters and e-book on the subject
