Just introducing myself...my name is aryanna, also go by ary. I have been dealing with anxiety I guess pretty much my whole life; about 3 years ago though it got so bad where it started to interfere with my life (going to work, hanging with friends, being in social environments) I wen on medication. It's helps a little, but about 2 months ago I've relapsed hard! I've not only been experience my anxiety like never before, but also for the first time began get in these deeply depressive moods. I've been trying different things, cause medication clearly isn't the 'one stop shop' to make all these feelings just disappear. Looking for ANY recommendations or stories of things that have helped all of you.
Thank you for reading! ❤️

Your anxiety story sounds similar to mine. My anxiety episodes are always accompanied by bad depression. This most recent episode I was having suicidal thoughts. What works for me is always different each time I have one of these episodes. Last time I switched to Prozac, practiced CBT, and got busy with my masters degree. This time the hope seems to be an addition of an anti anxiety med, a gratitude journal, exercise, making sure to limit my caffeine and refined sugar intake, and finding the root reason for my anxiety. Other things I have heard that have helped others are:
Magnesium supplements
Probiotic supplements
Mindfulness/Meditation
Take a look around the forum and you'll find that everyone tries something until they get relief, and what works for one won't always work for another.
What a beautiful name😊 I agree with Edana, you have to fight the anxiety, CBT is very good and effective, keep occupied, if your mind is on other things and you are trying hard then anxiety will leave you alone. Another good remedy is deep meditation, if you can download some tapes they would help you too. Rest assured you are not alone, life is full of upsetting things so you need to keep positive. We are all here to help, let us know how you get on 😎😎x
