My first time getting acupuncture...

Yesterday I finally tried acupuncture for the first time. I had been having bad anxiety and was quick to anger as it was my time of the month (tmi sorry guys). My depression had been getting worse as well.

I went in and met with the acupuncturist and told her my medical history (they have you feel out paperwork but want to discuss it) and reasons why I was wanting to duo acupuncture. After that we did my first session.

During my first session I felt very relaxed and had a positive feeling in my gut about doing it. I almost fell asleep because it was the calmest I felt in a long time. After the session the acupuncturist sold me a bag of Chinese herbs (I'm not sure what they are, she didn't say) and directed me to drink it 3times a day as a tea. I got home and drank my first cup. I had started to notice the affects of acupuncture and the tea mixture. First I felt calm and clear headed. Its been years since I felt that way. 5 hours later after having dinner an hour prior, I had my second cup of tea and then went for a walk. During my walk I almost had a panic attack for no particular reason but it stopped immediately. Then for the rest of the night I had my OCD (harmful thoughts) part of my anxiety. Then I had a hard time falling asleep. I woke up this morning with a dull headache and slight neck pain but they both subsided after having my first cup of tea. Today I have felt ok. Not too anxious but not "great". My acupuncturist told me that having symptoms worsen has been known to happen and that after 4-6 treatments gets better.

Im remaining hopeful to the treatments. And communicating with my acupuncturist about EVERYTHING I'm feeling before and after my session(s).

Having the symptoms worsen apparently means the acupuncture is working.

After having 11 sessions I accepted that it wasn't working for me. I spent roughly $2200.00 and it didn't help like I thought it would. I would consider it to be a waste of money for people who have se really bad anxiety. I take CBD oil now and it is amazing!
