OMG....: I' just got home from work about to... - Anxiety Support
OMG....
Msgriffin23, it has happened to me as well. Ironically when making dinner. I then realize I am dehydrated as well as needing some food in me. You should start feeling better after you eat.
Meanwhile, while preparing your meal, start deep breathing as well as sipping on some water or juice (if you are able to) You will be okay...
Thanks...I drink water all-day I don't understand why I'm dehydrated.
Msgriffin, it doesn't have to be dehydration especially if you are drinking enough water (that's what it was for me) Blood sugars can play a part in it as well. Your doctor would be able to do a check to see if anything is going on besides anxiety.
I do know this you have to be careful talking back and forth on the forum with someone else going through the same ordeal as you at the same time. I'm afraid it just feeds into both of your anxieties and it builds.
Take the time now for yourself. You can't help someone else right now. Breathe...Relax...You will be okay, It will pass.
Now I'm shaking like a leaf ! Hands cold and clammy !
JoMarie, how are you doing right now? Still feeling the effects of the symptoms?? As I told Msgriffin, you need to take care of you right now. The negatives you feed each other are not helping. Breathe dear...it will calm down.
I just broke down crying. I happened again. My legs got weak and I felt like everything was in waves or something like I couldn't walk straight.
You will be OK take a hot bath or drink warm milk just try to do something to calm yourself
JoMarie, you are in free floating anxiety right now, coming in waves. You WILL be okay. Find a quiet spot to call your own, sit on a sofa or chair with a pillow behind your back. Close the blinds so the room is dimly lit you don't want anymore outside stimulation to your brain.
Plant both feet on the floor (this will ground you) place your hands on your lap or knees. Close your eyes and slowly start deep breathing. After you feel you have collected yourself and your thoughts, see if you can go into YouTube...Just for 5 minutes. type in 5 minute meditation/deep breathing. Those will be the best 5 min in calming you down both physically and mentally. If you can't keep focused on what the video is saying, play it again. It should help break this cycle of fear that you are in right now. x
This whole wave thing keeps happening. I don't like it . Are you sure this is anxiety? It's awful.
JoMarie, also when was your last bloodwork taken at your docs office? If you have your blood work results, you can message me.
It is JoMarie like being lost at sea and feeling every wave that hits the raft you are on. By not fighting it, you will drift back to shore. Breathe.... x
I'm waiting to see my therapist and I feel like it's happening but more faint this time . I keep picturing something bad happening to me .
I understand the feeling...Accept that it will not harm you. Your mind is playing a trick on you.
Show it who's in charge. Let the therapist know so she might do some relaxation techniques before starting therapy. Breathe Jo Marie...x
I am I feel faint.
If you have some water, sip on it. It will help take your mind off how your head feels. Bring your shoulders down and breathe...So important right now to balance the oxygen levels in your head.
You are hyperventilating because of the fear...breathing will restore the balance I had
that recently myself so I understand what you are
saying.
This is the worst part of anxiety ever !!!!
I know, I know...I'm holding your hands, you are not alone. You are safe, your therapist is there. Nothing will happen...This will go away It is just a temporary release of extra adrenaline. Breathe..
Thanks you so much.
Are you out of therapy now? Hope it went well. Try to hang on to the positive and reassuring messages your therapist gave you. Keep in touch with the forum. We are all here to listen. x
The therapy went good she wants me to set there when it happens and just take it all and the only problem is is that I'm still in denial process I'm still thinking no way this is me but I've been checked from head to tell and my doctor is very adamant about the ultrasound he doesn't think he's going to find anything but they want to put me on anti-anxiety medication and my doctor I know he wants to do the beta blocker so we'll see I guess I just have to be uncomfortable until then
One step at a time JoMarie. It will all come together. Uncomfortable at the moment but safe. I think being on a little medication for a while will help immensely in breaking that continuous fear cycle. Meanwhile, keep reading help books, keep do other methods of relaxation and keep breathing slowly. x
I feel like I'm not even breathing fast but my breathing is off . It's possible not to notice that your hyperventilating?
How would describe the feeling? Do you feel like your body is light?
I felt like a oh shit everything just got real feeling. I guess also known as surreal.
Instead of sitting down I got up and walked around. And it came in two more waves after that .
I never set down I just walked it off
Even though you feel like your going to faint? Because I know I do .
It's like I can feel it about to happen again or something it's strange.
I get the same thing everyday
I try to eat enough and drink lots of water but once I start to get a tiny bit hungry, I feel like im gonna faint.
I'm guessing it's just anxiety, I've been tested for diabetes so many times, everything was normal. But I want it to go away! π
