im a teen who suffers from severe anxiety.. attacks can come at random or from triggers. i hate them. i get super dizzy just about every day. something that usually helps is a hug. i found that 7 hugs, squeezing hugs from family and friends, help me to feel better, less dizzy, more healthy. so does eating enough and getting enough sleep.

That's great that you have these strategies which help. The only thing I would say is try not to hate these episodes. When you hate them, you are giving them more power. Try to accept them. You've had them lots of times and you survived every one. A good idea may also be to remember to breathe slowly and evenly. See, you are building up a toolbox to help you just let them go by. Good luck. Gx
thanks.
i really have a hard time not hating them because I get severe ones which make me super dizzy and keep from doing a lot every day. Just this last Friday, I had such a bad one at school that my principal saw fit to call the paramedics. I was hysterical and paralysed in the hallway.
Hi reylani, Did you know that HUGS have been proven to help people not only feeling better psychologically but help them from getting sick. It's like an old saying "An Apple a day, keeps the doctor away" well...a HUG a day (or in your case 7 hugs) can make you feel better as well.
Eat well, sleep well and feel well. Sending you a hug x
That does sound nasty. The thing is, you will dread it happening again and then that dread brings it on. I'm really sorry. I know from my own experience that tranquilizers should be avoided at all cost. What does your doctor say?
Reylani, have you had a recent bloodwork done to check if you might have an underactive thyroid. Anxiety runs really high in my family. Me, 2 brothers, my sister, my dad and my mom suffered all our life form anxiety until we discovered one thing in common : an underactive thyroid. Another thing which is really important is to have a clean diet and to remove all triggers like refine sugar, caffeine chocolate and food high in the glycemic index. You could also look into adding magnesium threonate as a supplement and habe your vitamin d3 and b12 checked to see if you are deficient. Am not saying you have the same problems as me but I wish I had bene diagnosed earlier. My anxiety started when I was a teenager and unfortunately I got treated wiht antidepressants, which made it worse.
Take care
I used to have blood/ lab work done all the time. My problems started when I was little, around 9 or 10. The doctors discovered nothing physically wrong. I was given antidepressants for a time. Those... just.. I decided that I would not do medication again....
I should try taking refined sugar out of my diet. It may well be a big trigger. I do have symptoms of hypoglycemia/ prediabetes. Thanks for the suggestions.
