Low blood pressure dizzy Ness??
Hi there, sorry to hear you have this. I'm seeing the doctor later today as I'm having dizzy spells also. It's awful. Hoping you feel better soon!
What was your blood pressure reading? If it was so low that that's the reason you"re feeling dizzy didn't your doctor give you some medication to normalise your blood pressure? It's also true that feeling dizzy and weak are very common symptoms of anxiety. You need to find out whether the dizziness is caused by low BP or anxiety and take it from there.
A reading of 90 on the systolic/upper reading is low but still within the range of normal. If your doctor thought this was causing dizziness I would think he would have given you medication. People with lower than average blood pressure tend to live longer by the way.
Sitting in work again and the pressure came on in my head and it went funny could it be the screens or anxiety am sorry am really annoying
xogemxo, The pressure in your head can be from both looking at the screen which then triggers your anxiety when you feel weird. I notice myself, when I'm looking at the computer screen for a long time, it affects my eyes and full feeling in my head due to the brightness of the screen as well as eyes darting back and forth.
The pressure feeling in your head can very well come from being dehydrated as well. For me, it's always a sign that my body needs water. Low blood pressure is sometimes a sign of dehydration too.
Follow your doctor's orders but at least try hydrating. Every so often, look up from the screen and look in a distance at the furthest thing from your desk, it will help relax your eyes which may reduce the tightness in your neck. Proper neck alignment is important when sitting at the computer all day. Head bent forward will give you that cloudy feeling with circulation impinged.
Lastly, before feeling like this, check your breathing. Sometimes when working we tend to hold our breathe which can cause all kind of head feelings. Have your blood pressure monitored by your doctor, he knows what is best for you. As Jeff1943 said, people with lower b/p tend to live longer. Feel better and enjoy your day.
Awww ur a wee dote I needed that thank u x
Xogemxo, that's correct what Agora1 said about hydration, last year my wife had quite low blood pressure, lower than yours, it was in the low 80s and the hospital kept telling her she wasn't drinking enough water.
I think you need a straight answer from your doctor so that you know foe sure whether your dizziness/light headedness is caused by anxiety or your lower blood pressure and you can then respond to it. Of course, next time you have your bp taken it could be 20 points higher, bp seems to change every time you take it.
Another thing I've noticed is that if I sit in front of a computer screen for any length of time and then take my bp it's always high. Strange.
