Low blood pressure

Dr said I had low blood pressure which is weird cuz my anxiety is so bad that it probably should be high lol ... am sitting with this awful feeling in my chest fluttering heart and weak .. also on propanalol n e one n e ideas how to chill my wee head for the nyt

What exactly does your blood pressure usually read? Low for some people can actually be normal. Just curious if you know what your readings usually are. You just have to reassure yourself you WILL be ok you WILL be fine. I'm assuming you've been dealing with this for some time? If so just remind yourself that although these feelings are awful, they have never hurt me or doomed me. Hope that helps a bit!

Thank u love yeah it was at 90 r something he said it was low any way lol yeah every day for like 2 months am totally exhausted .. thank u for the the reply it's helping x

Well they usually say 120/80 is standard for the most part. However some people have lower blood pressure readings all the time and they are completely fine. The more active and more fit you are usually means your blood pressure will be on the lower side of the 120/80. If your doctor didn't seem too concerned I wouldn't stress over it. If anything just thinking about the 'low' blood pressure is enough to make your mind race and think, which induces intrusive thoughts and anxiety and panic.

xogemxo, I would bet that the low pressure as well as the fluttering heart and weakness are being caused by the Propanolol. It was given to me once and I literally had to crawl on the floor because I was so dizzyheaded, tired and weak. My pressure was around 90/50 way to low for me to function. There are other medications that can be used for anxiety that won't cause these effects. Please talk it over with your doctor soon. You needn't feel that way.
