So I'm on week 1 of celexa and low dose of Ativan.

I don't plan on taking ativan for a longer period Though.

Only difference I've seen is possibly drowsy and lazy feeling so far but I'm able to go outside without having a panic attack and freaking out.

I was wondering if anyone else has taken these meds and please give positive feedback as well.

PLEASE ONLY POSITIVE REPLYS

Hi Sam001, I have never been on Celexa but was on Ativan for quite a while and did notice that drowsy/lazy feeling which it was mean to do. Ativan quiets your mind and body. Work with it. I'm glad you are able to go outside w/o freaking out. So it is doing it's job. Continued success on it.

Sam, your body needs the rest for a little while. Try to go with it.

How long do you think is safe to take it?

Sam, Try not to put your worries into the time you are on it or you won't get the benefits you need. Your doctor/therapist is the best judge of the length of time needed.

I was on it 7 years (way too long) and yet I'm off it over 2 years now. We have to do what we need to break that cycle of fear, once we learn other tools, your doctor will wean you off the med.

Everyday Sam. Of course, slept a lot. Took 3 hour naps as well as sleeping through the night. You could say I was sleeping my life away.

Wow that seems like a while. Are you feeling better now????

I have a doctors appointment next week. I'm going to ask her what's the plan next.

It's crazy just a month ago I was a active guy working 50-60 hours a week. Going out.

And now I'm on meds and basically sleeping. Lol it's so weird
