Hi fionaleung21, I remember that feeling very well. The room was not spinning but my head was floating. Off balance feeling like you might fall over are caused from anxiety whether you feel anxious or not. Just because you do not feel anxiety, the thought is still there. It is so buried deep inside your mind that anything can set it off. In trying to keep your balance, you are overstressing your muscles which in turn can give you tension headaches. Nausea is usually associated with a migraine type headache. It's always best to go through your doctor in order to rule out any sinus or inner ear problem.

You know dear, I don't remember the nausea as much with the tension headaches which I got nearly every day. The nausea mostly came with my migraines. That doesn't mean that it must be something other than anxiety, it just means that is way your body interprets the head feeling. Standing in line as well as walking always felt uncomfortable because of that swaying feeling. So much so that I would jut my neck forward to keep my balance and before long would have yet another headache. When standing in line, I would rock back and forth to contend with the feeling. Only until you learn that this is anxiety doing it's number on you, will that feeling go away. As long as your brain knows you are afraid, it will continue doing this. Accept this as non threatening and the off balance disappears. I know what you mean about doctors hearing the same story from us that after a while, they tune us out or at least it seems like that.

Interesting enough is these same doctors would immediately show interest if it were a sore throat, the flu or some other medical issue. So I guess they are listening and know what to look for :)
