Anxiety thoughts: Is anybody afraid of their... - Anxiety Support
Anxiety thoughts
YES. I have anxiety about my anxiety.
Do you take any medicines?
Klonopin and pristiq. But recently I had to drop my klonopin from 3mg to 21/2 and I'm worse.
What do you do about it
Meds for me. Zoloft and xanax xr
Do they work? I have no support from my family. They are mean to me.
I've been like this for four years
Oh no. I am so sorry you don't have support. So, yes the Zoloft and xanax xr do work. It took me a while to figure that out though. The Zoloft takes a while to get into your system so use the xanax xr to take care of the anxiety until the Zoloft starts working. Initially my doc started me on low dose Zoloft and slowly increased (line by 25mg every two weeks) eventually got up to 150 mg of Zoloft and was (slowly) able to stop the xanax xr.
Do you have a doc you can go to? How old are you if you don't mind my asking?
So I was doing so good without any xanax xr that I thought tapering off the Zoloft was a good idea. NOPE. now I'm
Ack where I started. Xanax xr and slowly increasing mynzoloft back up so that I can reduce the xanax xr.
It's a ciculious cycle.
Yes I have a psychiatrist and I'm 58 years. I was crying today went for a walk felt better and I come in the house and they are mean to me and I'm still crying. Tried relaxation but didn't work
puppy11, that's probably the worse situation to be in. Your home should be a place of safety, nothing is worse than being treated mean. That's emotional abuse. Relaxation is not going to work when the stress is all around you. What needs to be done is that you have to get "thick skinned" about the abuse they throw your way. Leave the room, don't take it. I use to shake and cry whenever I was brow beaten while suffering with anxiety and agoraphobia. It is not to be tolerated. I would suggest therapy that may give you some extra ways to cope or learning to find quiet time for yourself away from it all even a library or a church. It will calm your mind and body down some. Use those places to deep breathe or meditate. Dry your tears.
