If you catch yourself doing something fun, relaxing, good, tell me about it. I was told we can retrain our brains if we focus on the good we feel or do even if we feel it or do for only a second. So, if you have even a piece of positive, post it!

Catch Yourself Doing Something Good
I woke up this morning feeling pretty much ok and am feeling positive about going to work, no panic waves, no dizzy head etc, if this feeling lasts then great, if it doesn't last then so what xxx
I so agree I try to look for simple pleasures and also laugh every day As it's Autumn there is so much around us that is beautiful At the moment I'm on phone duty for a local charity that finds transport to get people to hospital/ doctors etc that can't get there otherwise and the feeling I get when I ring a client back to tell them a lift is arranged and the gratitude in their voice is the best feeling
It's hard to feel positive for a lot of people on this forum I know and I wish everyone at least one" simple pleasures "moment a day 😊
Hi Cat33, I agree as well that there is always something we can laugh about even if it's at ourselves. And as for the Autumn of the year, it is one of my favorite times. The leaves changing into all these beautiful colors is breathtaking. I use to imagine while driving that each falling leaf was hug and nature telling us we are truly loved. Have a beautiful, colorful day x
Hello Agora1
Yes I agree with Cat33. How Lovely. Autumn is also one of favourite seasons. I love the clouds and fresh air like it's trying to blow all the worries away lol. Sounds silly but have to enjoy the simple things to get by it's so important. It was my Moms favourite season too and makes me feel she is atound especially at this time of year.
Big Hugs Everyone
I hope you all find some peace and enjoyment today!!
Xxx

One thing I do is laugh at myself. Me and my friend both have terrible aniexty we find ourselves laughing at each other it helps us sometimes xx
What a lovely response Lozlee007, thank you so much. I was very touched by the fact that your mom's favorite season was Autumn as well. I do believe we can feel the presence of our love ones in celebrating what they enjoyed in life. My best dear. x
I went on a fabulous vacation last week thought I was gonna have anxiety being far from home but I didn't and can't wait to go next year!
Thank you very much
Yes it is necessary to treat yourself to some nice experiences - not necessarily material things, nor loads of chocolates or icecream! - But at the same time it's also very necessary to acknowledge one's suffering and often involving an excruitiatingly painful journey - I take myself to the cinema on a regular basis and feel like a child again when I buy some popcorn or icecream - I lie in a warm bath to help soothe and draw out the pain and stress from my body. I make a thermoflask of herbal tea which I take up to bed for the morning - I wrap my nightie around my hotwater bottle before going to bed - and always ensure my bed is made up and looks inviting to jump into - I also try and cook myself something tasty because I love the smell of cooking food - like I used to cook when my children were small. I used to beat myself up believing I wasn't a good enough mum - but I now realise i did my absolute best for them and went the extra mile - I never wanted to replicate the kind of mother I had who virtually rendered me homeless and left me anywhere with anyone because she didn't want to see my many scars that reminded of her neglect.
