I have done 3 classes in it.....they do bring up some very logical points to ponder....it is a matter of if you are strong enough to rethink your thinking! One thing it does show you is that you are not alone with your problem, you are in a group of people who talk openly about their anxiety/panic and share totally....it's almost as if you are in a safe zone.

Hi just to say I did my cbt one on one with my therapist,,I would not of been able to talk in a group, either. I was unsure at first whether,or not cbt would work for me, however, eventually a new way of thinking crept in and I did my little challenges that I was comfortable with then slightly more uncomfortable until they became the norm. It was a few years ago. Best of luckxxx

I did CBT, mines were one on one. I did it for about a month. I can't say if it really helped me a lot. It was ok to be able to just talk and get things off my chest but I can't really say it did a major help because I'm still going through the motions and really all my therapist did was made a few suggestions of what I had said most of the time. It didn't really seem to me as if she was being the teacher and me thw student of how to deal with it. Well atleast that's was my whole notion of how CBT goes. And as wierd as I may sound I actually would have preferred to do group CBT. I'd feel like I was around people just like me. I think it would have made the process more genuine and helpful when getting through it. But needless to say, I haven't been back to therapy yet. Not saying it was bad or anything.

the whole idea of CBT is "mindfulness"....in my group, some have GAD, depression, panic disorder and some with people issues. I do like the group idea as you hear what others are going through and dealing with, although I know it would not be for everyone. They give you different ways to look at and think about your "situation"....the difficult part for me is to over rule my own mind...it is a powerful weapon against me....but I'm trying
