Newbie here....was diagnosed with ADHD last month and was prescribed

New to the group, so thought I would introduce myself 😊
Just starting my journey through titration with meds(currently 54mg

However, I was recently also diagnosed with severe adult ADHD, which I’m now taking medication for (methylphenidate /
Concerta

slow release).

concerta dosage being upped
Been on 36mg
concerta
xl
(the slow release kind) for a good while now and have moved up to 54mg on Tuesday. Since then I am noticing more anxiety and a change in mood - only slightly but not much else yet - my question is.

Concerta XL starting side effects
My 15 year old daughter has commenced 18mg concerta 4 days ago and is due to increase to 36mg after one week. We’re obviously not expecting to see any effect as yet but she is complaining of a constant heavy frontal headache. She isn’t complaining of nausea or a dry mouth. I’m unsure if it is the meds

Concerta XL and coca cola
Hi everyone. My son who is 18 has just taken his first dose of Concerta today and his ‘prescriber’ who is titrating him, doesn’t seem to want to answer the question about Coca Cola. I know you are supposed to avoid caffeine, but would it be ok to have the odd coke in the evening 2 to 3 times a week?

Prozac for 9yr old w/ ADHD
anyone’s kid take Prozac? I’ve fought anxiety meds for 2yrs and now that my son is a bit older his anxiety has fueled depression and it’s a whole mess. He’s such a wonderful and funny kid watching him loose himself to this is heartbreaking. He’s on a low dose fast acting concerta twice daily that will

Do people find a protein breakfast helps with ADHD meds? If so when do you eat, before, with or after?
Hi I was on concerta 54mg, I found this was too high a dose for me, got a major crash around 3.30 every day and was getting bouts of anxiety throughout the day and constant from about 3pm. I've started elvanse 30mg today to see how I go with that. Been reading a good high protein meal helps the meds

Guanfacine
My 7 yr old son with adhd who had been taking Concerta recently had Guanfacine added and takes it in the afternoon. The results have been amazing. For a week almost no issues at all. My wife and I couldn’t believe it. But last night he was extremely difficult when it was time for homework. Lost his temper

Defeated mom new to group-child w/ ADHD & ODD and running out of options
Hi All. I'm new to the group. My son is 12yo with ADHD and in past couple of years, was also diagnosed with ODD. Meds tried: 4 of the typical stimulants, all of which seemed to make him agitated and/or aggressive, Straterra (did nothing), Guanfacine & Clonidine did nothing for impulsivity or typical

Any treatments when meds cause too many side effects
12 yo with Tourette’s diagnosed first and later ADHD inattentive. We’ve tried Jornay, Adderal, Concerta, intuniv and Strattera for ADHD and all have made her tics more frequent and noticeable. We stopped meds about 3 weeks ago and her tics have returned to being barely noticeable. She doesn’t want to

CBT and sticking to therapy
I have been diagnosed with ADHD for two years now. I have been on methylphenidate in different forms, Concerta, and Ritalin. Currently, I am on a 60mg dose of Ritalin (IR). I started therapy, more specifically Mindfulness-Integrated CBT, 3 months ago. After reading about it, I felt like it could help
