I've got my first proper cbt appointment next week, wasn't expecting anything for at least another month...oh well the sooner the better I guess, I just hope it works - the sooner I get my emitophobia to a place where it does not affect my life the better, I think it might be to much to wish it gone completely

Hi Sam I am sure CBT will help , don't put expectations on it though if you can, by thinking it has got to work. go with the flow as they say. The less we expect , the better something can be. Don't think I have explained what I am trying to say very well. But hope you no what I mean
I had CBT for my needle/ blood/ hospital phobia last year and found it really useful for this. I would recommend that you take some botes at or after the sessions and practise the techniques between sessions to get the maximum benefit.
