Citalipram stomach pains!

Hi i started taking citalopram yesterday 20mg and within 2 hours i felt incredibly sick and had to go lie down. Today i still feel a little sick and have stomach pains. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi there! I've been on citalopram 20mg coming up to four months now and yes, I got pretty much every side effect for about two weeks..dont let that put you off though, stick it out and you'll be proud of yourself that you did. I felt so so sick without actually throwing up at all. I lost my appetite for nearly two weeks, if this happens, all I can advise you to do is pick at small amounts of food, I felt the only thing I could really tolerate was fruit.

Thank you so much for your reply. First two days I took the tablet and was so sick but didn't actually throw up. Was terrible. Ill try ride it out thank you xx

My Dr told me to take 10mg in the am and 10mg in the pm. Helped tremendously!
