I wouldn't be concerned! It could possibly be that you have an Internal hemroid and don't know it and it was irritated and bled, or it very likely could be the beets tent of color causing this. The only time to REALLY be alarmed about bleeding is when stool is black. (:

You would know if it was black, there be no questioning about it so don't worry! Lol

I'd say more than likely the beets. Try going a couple of days without beets and see if it settles, then try beets again and if it happens again then you know it's more than likely the beets. Apologies for writing beets so often in such a short message.

We had a neighbour once who went to the doctors terrified he had cancer He came back very relieved as he had grown lots of beetroot and eaten them practically every meal and that's what it was

Try not to worry it could easily be that

Eating a lot of beetroot can make your stools look a reddish colour.

Hope this helps xx

I love beetroot and eat a lot of it. I have got used to not only the red stools but also having pretty pink pee. This is perfectly normal. Ask any doctor and they will tell you that one of the first thing they ask people worried about bowel cancer is ' have you been eating beets or other red vegatables?'

For variety try Kale and watch it turn green:)

I'm not really sure what to say but other than talk to your doctor. I am actually dealing with problems that have to do with going to the bathroom and my stomach and about 2 weeks ago my butt was dripping blood. And im not talking about just when I wipe.. I mean full on blood coming out of my bum. It stopped but I went to my doctor and now I am going to see a speclisit cause I have a mess of problems that deal with going to the bathroom. Again sorry for the tmi but I have had the same thing but mine were from hemorrhoids as I was told. The best i could tell you to do would be see a doctor. Hope everything gets straighten out for you!! But you are not alone trust me
