Hi everyone,
This is hard to explain but the other day I had this weird feeling in my arm, sort of like a dead tingling, my arm felt really heavy and kind of numb/dead for about 30mins, whilst having mild anxiety. Is this normal?
Hi everyone,

Hard to say if it's "normal" or not. But, it's one of the many complaints of people with health anxiety, or just plain anxiety.
First off, go to the doc to be sure you're ok if the symptoms persist. Stay off the internet too. No googling symptoms. Google only shows you how exactly ehat you're looking for, and you're looking for the wrong things.
Now, as far as normal. Lol. At the peak of my Health Anxiety I was throwing up every morning and making my heart rate beat in the upper 120s. From there I have had muscle weakness , stinging in my hands, shaky or twitchy muscles , dizziness, shortness of breath , sore arms, sore legs, stomach issues, headaches. Pretty much just a plain old wreck. Of course, all these symptoms took place over many months. Once I was cleared by a doc it was onto a new disease. Heck, check through my old posts....you'll see my story of anxiety lol.
In short: yes. What you're experiencing can come from anxiety.
Take care.
Did you ever have upper middle back pain or between shoulders?
Yep. My hands burnt like hell for about two days. That moved onto my arms hurting and being super sore like I had just worked out. That lasted about a week.
The shoulder pain came after the arm pain. Comes and goes now
Hi Mrworrymaster, actually I'm feeling the same thing now. I find after a day of clenching my hands (without knowing it) they burn and feel stiff. And yes it does affect my arms and shoulder as well. The muscles are just so tense and tight. Try to relax your shoulders which may relieve some of the tightness. It's nothing to worry about just annoying. Feel better...It is from our Anxiety.
