Head pressure conflict
I got what seemed to be a mild case of meningitis 9 years ago. It felt like my head had been hit with a bat. My eyes shook, and my balance was bad. I have never fully recovered and feel like I have pressure inside my head all the time for 9 years. It is worse when I lie down.
Yes I get it a lot in the top side of my head get pins a niddle in my head a lot to
What was going on when this started? Have you had a spinal tap?
Also I have been to the doctors on a few occasions and they have ruled it out as anxiety, this pain in my head is certainly not anxiety, I can't tolerate how painful o get it
I wasn't diagnosed with meningitis either. But the neurologist knew I go sick with something that damaged my central nervous system. If you get a spinal tap they measure how strongly the spinal fluid rages out right at first. This is called exit pressure. If it is high they will label you as having "intracranial hypertension." No one knows what causes this. One clue you have it is that you get worse from lying down. Some people feel better if they sleep on a bed with the head of the bed propped up. Some do better on Diamox. In my case it seems that ongoing infection, maybe Lyme disease or mono are the cause. I do better while on Valtrex.
