My Symptoms Over the Past Week...

I can't copy and past on here...for some reason...and I don't feel like retyping this so I took a screenshot of my notepad.

But, my stress levels have been through the roof lately, and this is what I've been dealing with.

I've seen many doctors, been through many tests, done a lot of research, read a lot of books, seen many therapists and counselors....just looking for reassurance.

I have 24/7 symptoms I deal with all the time, but, even they have been 50X worse with added symptoms. Just wanting reassurance that this is anxiety...

Absolutely no question about it. Sounds like you've got a full house of symptoms. maybe you're researching them too much. Distraction and mindfullness is a good way forward. Try the raisin meditation!

Is that like the chocolate meditation? I jus t recently heard about that.

The raisin exercise is not a meditation in itself, it is a way to stop and see and smell, and appreciate everything in your life. It is holding a raisin in your hand, appreciate its texture, color, smell, shape, feel in your hand and finally put it in your mouth and just holding on to the taste and feel in your mouth, and just slowly chewing no appreidating every moment of it to help you focus on the present and on the moment that is right now happening. Mindfulness is to be in the here and now. If you are interested in it, read :living full catastrophy from John Kabat Zinn. He describes in it the raisin expreriende.

Christina, are you in any medication right now? You want to be sure your symptoms are not part of medication side effects. If not, you need to go and talk to a spychiatrist. Your aymptoms and the 50 more plus, I know about them. I have been suffering lots of physical weird symptoms on and off for the past 15 years. Progressively, I have learned to accept that they are part of my apycholigical make up but I also think in my case, having been on and off anti depressants have messed up my CNS (central nervous system) and there are now more and more evidence about the side effects of anti depressants contributing to similar symptoms. However, it is also true that people, like me, who have been all their live on constant stress level and I have! End up with burn up systems : low cortisol, low serotonin, low dopamine, little resistance to stress from having taking in too much on and on for most of our life.

I now meditate, do yoga, tai chi and it has not solved all my issues but I am learning to live with them.

So tell us more about your life and what is happening. I bet, a lot is going on and go check the site about anxiety symptoms : you will be surprised learning damage that 24/7 anxiety can do to your body, your mind, your emotion and your soul. Plus, it will also affect your gut (most of our serotonin is done in the gut : 90%). It also affect how you absorb nutrients like b12' minerals like magnesium, hence will give you a lot of physical symptoms like tingling, muscles spams, muscles twiching, bad muscles tightness in neck, shoulders, arms, even back of the head migraines, low back proglems, constant nausea with belching, yawning. Also, funny crawly feleing on your skin, unusual fears, crying spells, despair, sense of gloom sense that life will never get better. Of course, insomnia. And that is only going through the physical symptoms and few emotional one. I can't think of the site but if you google symptoms of anxiety, you willl eventually hit the site. First time I saw it, I felt relieved in a way and then it hit me, I needed to be proactive, which is a challenge when you feel so low at every level. Take care and keep posting here. You will find wonderful suggestions. Hugs

I have had all those symptoms. Interesting you mentioned stiff hands that was one of my very first symptoms... The reason you are still feeling this way is because still doubt that all this is anxiety it's very hard to do but you need to stop obsessing about your health and symptoms just let them be that is the first and most important step to begin recovery. I still doubt too at times but I have stopped obsessing like I used to and it's a much easier way to live. I wish you well :)
