Hi machine, we are here to support each other but cutting is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by a professional therapist. I am so sorry it has gotten to that point because of what you are going through. We can help with the breathing and your anxiety but it sounds like it is so intense right now, that you need to see a doctor at least and possibly be put on some medication for a while. Please stay safe.

You CAN be helped. The fact that you are reaching out for help tells me that you are going to make it OK. But you have to listen to us and get PROFESSIONAL HELP if you have been cutting. You know this is serious, and you need someone who is trained to know exactly how to help you past this stage of self-harm. PLEASE, PLEASE do as we ask and get yourself into the care of a professional who knows how to guide you through and into safety again.

It seems you are at the height of anxiety.
IT DOES MAKE YOU THINK you are not breathing properly because your brain is thinking about it too much.
Ever noticed when your busy or you go for a walk it subsides. ?
I have been through that ,
I also had a thing where I had to keep taking a deep breath ,annoying , worrying but not life threatening .
Medication calmed me down and within a couple of weeks it subsided and now it's gone .
Worrying does make it linger for longer and trick you that it's getting worse.
IT WILL PASS.
Have you got the one where you think you have asthma ?
All anxiety doing its thing.
Go to your docs,
He'll probably give you propranolol to calm you down.
Takes a couple of weeks to work but did the trick for me.

I know exactly how you feel, anxiety really messes with you, mentally and physically. Definitely get professional help. It can be scary to get help, but it's worth it I promise! You need to take care of yourself and that's the first step. My counselor told me that when you get the urge to self harm, hold an ice cube in your hand until it melts. It does no damage and calms the feeling of needing to self harm. Try doing that instead of cutting? But please please please get professional help. You're going to be okay! I'm praying for you! I'm only going to echo what all the others have suggested - go to the doctor. Explain about the cutting / self harm. They should hopefully give you some meds to help the anxiety you are in. In the meantime the NHS has given me a couple of websites that were useful to me. These give access to an online CBT course apparently and self help.

Well, you've come to the right place. We're all here for you. Anxiety is never easy. The best thing to do for anxiety is to distract your mind. Turn your thoughts to something positive and encouraging. For me, I'm spiritual so I read scripture. That always helps. I talk to friends, or family. That's the biggest issue with anxiety. The more you think about your anxiety, the worse it gets. It's all about distracting your thoughts and putting them towards a positive thing. Something that's funny, like a funny movie. Anything positive and I promise it will take the anxiety away. You don't always need medication.
First of all stop that cutting stuff it does nothing to help the situation at all, an infection or tetanus will make your life way worse... breathe deep hold and release slowly, I recommend going for walks daily in which you can meditate and try and figure out what is causing the anxiety also try eating some fresh foods instead of fast food and fatty food it makes you feel better about yourself and that helps alot, trust me I've suffered from depression most of my life and recently started having the same attacks your having, these things have helped me out alot. And even if your not religious maybe going to a church and talking to someone there will help you because in my experience when there is no one in your life to talk to people from churches often listen, I hope everything gets better for you friend and I assure you try some of these things and you will feel better in no time.
hello everyone i appreciate all the replys and support i had a crying lock myself in room day i didnt not cut i had bad thoughts but took a walk i was feeling a little better and trying to rest now but i feel nauseated,like i cant breathe and jittery and paniced when i try and settle it hits me the most any suggestions??
It will be fine, just practice breathing exercise trust me it works
