Okay so long ago i had Anxiety.. Until i done endoscopy and knew it was not GERD or ulcer or anything as such however, i think my Dr knew it was Anxiety and gave me Nexium 20mg for a month.. Taking that seemed to help me get rid of the Anxiety ( even tho i did not know why he gave it back then until recently )
Our gut is linked to our mental health in a very effective way.. so when our gut is not good it will lead to trigger Anxiety and symptoms... So taking Nexium seemed to protect my stomach and help me heal from the Anxiety cycle..
Yesterday i was really feeling terrible, however today i decided in the morning to take an omeprazole of 20mg and try the day.. So i did and ate Burgers and mcflurry outside house and so on and it feels way better today than tomorrow.. It is like i barely have any Anxiety symptom but the question is that whenever i googled up Nexium or any PPI helping Anxiety it all says it makes it worse.. I do not know if that happens in rare cases ( some of the side effects had ' depression ' as rare ) but can anyone explain to me if PPI's really help Anxiety?
Thank you

RasAlGhoul, you know what I really think helped you? Eating.... The Nexium or any other PPI just makes your stomach feel better which allows you to get nourishment. Your doctor is a wise man....
Yes I believe that too since Anxiety is causing my stomach to not digeste good or maybe trigger some symptoms, the PPI helps me to prevent these symptoms therefore less Anxiety.. I'm thinking to continue taking PPI for a week or two till anxiety is gone, do u think this is a good idea?
He prescribed it to me when i first got Anxiety few months ago, i used it for a month and poof everything was gone for a while until recently so i am thinking to use his method and take PPIs to help me get better with my hormone balance and for my body to heal from Anxiety while i take care of my stomach
Hi, really glad your feeling better, a lot of our ailments start in the gut...stomach and head is connected, thats why we can get nausea from a headache, and vice versa, just be careful with the nexium, as they take away all the acid from your stomach, and you need a certain amount to obsorbe your food, I was on them for 3 months, but had to come off them, as i was taking iron, and the nexium was stopping me from obsorbing it..they are great for your tummy though..xxxx.
