opthalmic hospital appointment.

I may have mentioned here that I had an eye test recently, & the optician noticed some changes to the back of my eyes. She said that this could be normal age changes, but she gave me a letter to take to my gp`s surgery to arrange a hospital appointment. The optician said that my eyes were healthy, but then why would she be wanting my to have hospital tests? I`m really frightened now because Iv`e read that Alzheimer`s disease can be detected by an eye test, & I keep thinking that`s what Iv`e got.

The only thing sis if we keep searching long enough and reading to much they put out there we will always find something that will frighten us and I would wait till you have had this appointment , it sounds like everything is going to be fine they are just doing their job as they should do , I know we get irrational fears but we have to try and focus that this is what they are and nor reality
