It's been 6 weeks since I was referred to the cardiologist and called the doctors today to make sure they had done it. They said yeah you are on the system but it can take up to 18 weeks for an appointment!!!! She suggested I call the hospital and find out how far up the queue I am...called them and they said that it would probably be the middle of April before I got an appointment.

Hi Ashley
Oh dear me that is a long wait for you because I know this could help give you peace of mind I wish you didn't have to wait so long & I feel for you
On a positive though I know the nhs can be over flowing but I do believe when your GP refers you they sort of prioritize it at the other end , so if someone was in danger they would get them in ASP but because you have had tests done which have always been fine I think maybe your GP has referred you just like mine did with my neck when I thought I had a lump to give you peace of mind , so try thinking like that its not serious or they would have pushed to get you seen quicker
Still you are doing better than me its over a year now & still waiting to see a psychologist
Well we will look after you & that famous heart while you are waiting
Love

I never really though of it like that, that's makes me feel better.
That does seem a long time, it's so annoying how long we all have to wait for hospital appts. I'd ring and ask if the appt can be brought forward and explain it is making you anxious, might be worth a try
