Noise in ear

Hi I am wondering if anyone else has a thumping noise in the right side of ear? I understand I have jaw problems my physio said it is inflammation but it sounds like it is something in my ear I have had last few weeks I can't sleep with it it keeps me up it's not there all the time but when it happens it is horrible, as thought a butterfly is fluttering around? It is worrying me. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated?

I get that sometimes and I have t mj ( jaw problemms) I think it's fluid in my ear but I guess as you say it could be inflamation

Thankyou for your reply, what jaw problems are you having? I've got tmj getting physio for it it hurts after I get pain.
