Started taking magnesium and it's been okay up until today, it's really upsetting my tummy! (Sorry too much info) but how can I stop this? Am I taking too much? I took 400mg this morning

Did your GP Advise to take Magnesium? Were you given a reason for taking meds? There are always unpleasant side effects, if you still feel uncomfortable after a week or so, see your GP again. Please do not take any meds that are not prescribed by your GP.

Would you be kind enough to tell me what magnesium lotion you use?  I use magnesium oil but think I've got too used to it .  Didn't know there was a lotion!

It is Ancient Minerals magnesium lotion purchased from Amazon.  You can google it to learn more about it.

i actually talked to a pharmacist yesterday as i too was looking to try taking magnesium for my anxiety. she informed me that taking 400 mg or less a day could be ok since any more would usually cause tummy issues such as the runs..since magnesium is a laxative. i think everyone reacts to it differently and maybe adjusting your dosage can help. i also know that there are different types of magnesium such as magnesium citrate and others...but i have not read about what the difference is between them all. she also suggested i try and get more magnesium through foods that i eat...which would minimize any side effects like those that supplements can cause.
