I don't think anxiety is taken seriously enough. I mean everyone always says "just stop worrying" but how can we? It's somewhat out of our control! I mean we have to, we have no choice. It's like Our brain overpowers all the thinking and turns it into an awful sensation being anxiety and panic attacks

Hey everything will be okay, keep being strong and hold on to hope that there will be relief 😊 may God bless you
I agree. My mom said, " only you can control this. It's all in your mind." Really mom? I didn't know it's in my mind. Lol... It's so vicious and unless someone experiences it first hand they have no clue.
I Agree witwith you; I am told 'oh, anxiety, that's nothing'.
Depression is similarly dismissed as 'what have you to be depressed about?'
It's an illness and should be given recognition as such.
A lot needs to be done to educate people to understand how disabilating anxiety/depression are and how we can't control it and that we need support and understand .
It's completely overlooked. Anxiety has caused me to make the worst decisions in life. Made me frozen and unable to move or get up. And I finally said that I dont have to take it anymore. I'm not getting enough of the medication I need for a quality life. So I'm going to demand it. Unapologetically. Therapy is also important, but there are just some physical things that we can't fix by thinking alone, and can't control our thoughts every second of the day. Find the right provider for you, medication if necessary, and either a therapist you click with or read whatever you can get your hands on. Good luck and stay safe!!
