I keep on getting these sharp pains on the right side of my abdomen. I don't know if stress and anxiety is causing these problems, or if there is actually something wrong with me.

Have you tried taking a Tylenol to see if that eases your pain? I have never had pains like that when I get anxiety. Could be your anxiety. Are you sure you haven't fell or something this week that could have pulled something.

No I haven't feel or bumped into anything. I searched it up and Google said that it might be appendix. But my elder sister said that I shouldn't be searching up stuff like that because it will just make me paranoid. But I don't really know what to do, but I will try Tylenol and see if it works. And thank you :)

Hi dear,  if the pain continues into tomorrow or gets severe through the night, then it might be wise to call your doctor.  It could also be coming from the female organs or intestinal problems.  See how you feel in the morning and make a decision then.  The Tylenol may ease the pain but you still need to know what is causing it, if it continues.

Let us know how you are doing tomorrow.   x

Yeah, hopefully that's the case. Its mostly when I feel stressed out I start to get pain on the rights side of my abdomen, and not to mention my chest starts to hurt a little bit.

I would suggest a trip to  your GP as it could be your appendix - what they class as grumbling where the pain comes and goes

Xoxox, do you have a fever ?  Try stretching.  Heating pad might help .  If continues, go see doc ASAP .

Could be anything from the way you've been sitting, or possibly stretch if you've been doing any heavy lifting on exercising, the way you've been sleeping. Could be something that you've eaten. If you are very worried about it you should go to your doctor. Your sister is right the internet can be useful for information, but it can also cause extra stress and anxiety if you are not careful. other than the pain in your side how do you feel. If you've been something which is causing you extra stress and anxiety it could be that.

If you are really worried about it go and see your doctor.

Hi xoxox,   how are you doing today.  Any better?  Any worse?  You really need to see the doctor if worse since your anxiety is going to keep building until this is figured out. Not everything is anxiety based.  Take care  x

Thanks to those with the good advice :) but I think it might be the anxiety, I don't really know yet. I've read that anxiety causes pain around in your stomach, but I'm not sure about the right abdomen, I have also been experiencing pain on the left side too. But thanks everyone for the comments I'll try them and see if my symptoms get better.

It could mean gallstones as I had pains like that 2years ago it was horrible I would be fine all day then as soon as it hits night I'd be crippled and then I would also get vomit not all the time that would only happen if it was infected so just keep an eye on it just incase it is hopefully not cause having gallstones is worse than having a baby

Well the only times when I get pain on the right side of my abdomen is when I'm sleeping on that side, or when I run at pysical education, but sometimes the pain comes when I'm feeling stressed out. But I'll keep an eye out if I experience any other symptoms that lead to gallstones.

I have that too, plus sometimes it happens on the left.  If it's not appendix, It can be gastric or gyne.  I found out I had ovarian cysts & they suspect adhesions or endometriosis.  It can also be nerves from back problems.

I hAve actually developed a kidney stone. Stress and anxiety can control your entire body. It causes you to not take care of yourself as well as you should be also. I hope that helps. Have youreceived thyroid checked also
