I wish I knew what to tell you to help it. I had bad episodes of it when I was pregnant, it would last for days, I was so scared. Now it happens periodically...but I just wait for it to happen again which causes more stress.. I have never found a way to stop them :( Just stay away from caffeine and maybe add more potassium to your diet. Praying for you.

I'm trying so hard normally it would bother me for a bit but today its been happening from this morning and it takes my breath away and causes more anxiety symptoms. I'm praying for you too.

Hi cwoodside,

You can drink some herbal calming tea or take deep breaths and meditate.

Thank u will do

Hello

You have been checked out and everything is fine ?

I know a few people that have this , it can be their anxiety and goes as they get calmer or some people take Beta Blockers which if they can tolerate them seem to help

Maybe & I know you will have been perhaps many times already but have another word with your Doctor , let them know you are finding this intolerable

Sorry this might not be to helpful , someone else may come along with something that may help but just wanted to let you know I had read your post :-)

Take Care x

I'm breastfeeding at the moment and really don't want to be on medication but I will certainly have another visit with my doc thank you for replying.

Hi woodside, have had that for a long time together with rapid heart beat have had ecg, but all came back normal, i take propranolol 10 mg when ever it gets bad , and this is a good help, they are a beta blocker but 10mg is very low dose, i think you should ask your GP. Im sure you will notice the relief, keep off caffine, chocolate , wines and spirits, all the stuff we love, they will settle down, sometimes mine last for days but they are nothing to worry about, easier said than done!!! try not to worry best wishes xx

Hi cw, go to your GP and ask him about a beta blocker they just help to regulate heart beat , loads of people have these extra heart beats, some people are more aware of these than others, i know when you get them it is not very nice ,try and relax,it will get better.xxx

Skippped heartbeats are called ectopics. Most healthy people have loads of them every day and never notice. If you have been checked over and all is well with your heart. Try to be reassured by this. I have a mild heart condition so I too am aware when this happens especially when anxiety is causing probs but they are harmless in themselves.
