Is this anxiety...?

Hi everyone, this is my first time writing to any forum after 5 years of torture. I hate writing a book about these things so I'll make a long story short. 5 years ago this month i started getting weird feelings of slight denationalization/brain fog throughout the day, and started waking up like it. As time went on it grew worse and worse, I developed extreme fatigue and weakness, i recently had to quit my job, and now doing my university courses online. I had numerous tests done, EEG, EKG, very extensive blood work, MRI, apnea test, CT scan, you name it! I even went to a natural healing center that uses homeopathy, tried a few anti-depressants, had acupuncture, and seen a psychiatrist and psychologist when this was early on. Now I have had a few panic attacks throughout the years but I must of become adjusted to it because it feels like im living in a constant state of that but without the actual panic (anxiety)! With my doctor not knowing what else to do for me, he asks if im stressed, I said well i wake up throughout the night sometimes stressed or my mind feels really weird, i get terrible feelings and feel worst after sleep. He thinks it is an anxiety disorder and wants to give me prozac which i am willing to take soon enough. I can honestly say at this point either this illness is affecting my sleep or my sleep is affecting this illness because I wake up every few hours with feelings that are explainable by words, and when i wake in the morning after 8 hours of sleep i feel super faint, which is something i forgot to mention I get dizzy real easy and feel faint alot and can hardly leave the house. The biggest problem is my fatigue and brain fog it is so extreme now. So I just need peoples opinions or experiences, could this truly be anxiety, or is this "anxiety" a byproduct of something else...

We sometimes have a tendency to 'not believe' the results of all those extensive tests... but I think maybe you need to tell yourself "I'm really ok...I passed those tests in good style!" ... and yes, chances are this is all FROM anxiety...and then of course, it goes in a vicious circle... It sounds as if you are doing EVERYTHING to help yourself that you possibly can... but this is what I wonder....

And maybe you should talk with a professional counselor about this: are you really doing in life what you WANT TO DO... or are you doing what you think you SHOULD DO....

Would you please consider talking to a therapist/counselor about this... I know it can be a bit scary to be searingly honest...but I think this is the key to unlocking what is causing your anxiety.

I wish you all the luck and love in the world! Take care now.

I honestly understand what your going through! I had a feeling very similar to what you are feeling. I would be sitting in class and feel like I wasn't there even though I was and I would get dizzy very easily. It's now 3 years later and it's completely gone. The only way I beat it was going to a consiler, telling myself it's just an anxiety symptom and there is no underlying health condition. You have to think positive and reasure yourself with rational thinking and it will eventually go away.

Ya it's all anxiety, i have the same issues, i went to 3 different cardiologists, neurologist and internist, did many tests and all came back good . I went to stage where i think i have MS, heart disease, POTS, brain tumor you name it! But that's just all in your head. Today i challenge myself to do 45 min yoga and 15 min light cardio workout, i done that.. Eventho after that i feel like crap. Exercise just exercise !
