Hi I've been struggling with my anxiety for about 3 yrs now. It has come to the point where I've been told Marijuana helps you relax when you worry to much . So I've been trying it when I feel jittery and it's helped me. I only take one hit and only use it when I feel I'm not me .any suggestions ??

I think it can go either way it helps some but makes others worse. I have read many stories where the persons anxiety started after drug use when they were fine just before. If it's helping you that is good but my opinion is to try and limit the use, drug use in general can really go in bad directions.

Like anything you can get addicted to such things
You may just be getting enough to keep you calm with one hit but eventually your body will get used to it and before you know where you are you will be needing two then three and so on
I also believe it can have the adverse effect and eventually create anxiety or make symptoms worse
When we have anxiety we need to get to the root of the problem and learn with support how to deal with it as if not it will just keep recurring
I would strongly advise not to use substances as a way of relieving anxiety x
Thank you , I'm not the type of person that does any drugs . Sometimes I just need to feel calm and not worry too much. I don't take anything for my anxiety I just cope with it. Thank you for your suggestions :).
Oh your post said you had tried marijuana ...do you not feel that is a drug ?
or maybe you feel one hit is not classed as taking any as you also said it helped you to feel relaxed

Presume its legal. If so might get some! However was addicted to Ativan years ago and a Prof told me it was worse to come off than Heroin. So think on.

I would not smoke that u think it will help but it doesn't it make u worse also it makes u paranoid which is a part of anxiety
