I was widowed in April & I'm not coping well, feel anxious & scared all the time, I am still very tearful.
I've just started seeing a counsellor & am taking 40mg Propanolol daily, don't feel I can carry on, we were married for over 50 years, I'm lost without him.

I'm sorry for your loss, I too lost my husband, it's now 16yrs ago, all I can say is that time is a great healer, you will never forget but you will learn to live with it given time. I saw a councillor too and she helped me , in fact she was a god send. It's early days for you yet, please take care and think of all the good times that you shared together. Xx

I can't imagine how you must be feeling.50 years is a lifetime and of course you feel lost.
Unless somebody has been in your position it will be difficult to understand the terrible way you feel.
It is great that you are seeing a counsellor and have started taking propranolol.hopefully with the help of these two things you can maybe feel there is some hope for you.im sure you have such wonderful memories of your husband which will always be with you.
