I'm 27 year of age have suffered with anxitey for about six years now, I was wounding of anyone else suffers from pain under the arm pit, shoulder and down the left arm it's like a dull aching pain have had it checked and doctors said its to do with anxitey I feel like I'm going mad with worry

Hello! Well everyone is different. Some peoples anxiety causes them to have certain pains. As far as mines, I don't have the chest pains like a lot of people say they do. I do know what your talking about. Sometimes I have these kind of striking pains near my hear on my chest wall. Very short and scary at times. My arm sometimes have this horrible pain in one spot of it. I'll rub that one area in hopes in goes away! If you've done all you could at the doctors then you have really nothing to worry about so your all good to go!

Thank you for the reply, I know everyone difference anxitey can be so one confusing thing to live with, like I say to my doctor I get the pain when not even feeling that bad

Hi kelly, ive had this prob for 2years now, ache in shoulder, slight numbness in arm, this is not painfull but you know it is there, under arm feels like i have a small ball under it causing feeling of discomfort, you are not going mad its your anxiety showing up, i find shallow breathing helps with my arms up over my head. I does pass, hope this helps, take care x

I've suffered with this pain for six months now. It was exactly like you described. O found out it was coming from my neck. Weird, I know BC it doesn't feel like its in your neck. Even the pain in my armpit went away after wearing a traction collar daily. I spent so much time worrying that the pain was coming from my heart. Its caused by tension in your upper back and shoulder (aftermath of anxiety) compressing a nerve in your neck. I hope this helps.
