Yes that's when you are over thinking your breathing.
Try to relax take in deep breaths and let them out slowly, this works well with cool air.
Is you have eucalyptus rub try smelling it to clear your airways.
If not distract yourself from focusing on it

Yes that's so true, once you notice your breathing it seems weird. You feel you're breathing too much or too little or something. It only works properly when you don't notice it!
Please don't freak out! Its anxiety and you will only make it worse by freaking out. I suffer with severe anxiety and sometimes I feel like I can barely breathe. Try telling yourself that;" its just anxiety and only I can control it". It works for me and hopefully it will work for you.
Just wanted to say hi and i do sometimes get shallow breathing. I try to stop doing anything and focus on my breathing taking deep breaths. This usually works. However. i just wanted to ask is there a chance that you may have asthma? As sometimes my shallow breathing is caused by this.
