Finally taking the leap and going to the doctor to talk to him about my anxiety, I hope to get on some sort of medication. I have anxiety, panic attacks and derealization. What do you think they will prescribe me, and will the medication noticeable change me and my personality? Just really curious about this type of medicine. Thanks guys

Well done for going to yours doctor as I know this can be very hard..The medication which I was put on is citalopram which has help me get back to my old self. People saying I am alot more happy now. They may give you medication or canceling. Just remember each person is different so different things work for different people. Hope you get on well and yours doctor is understanding.
Hi they can gice yoi propronalol for palpitations diazapam for the panic attacks I m on sertraline theses have help me loads good luck dont forget they need 2 wks toget in your system aswell
I don't take medication myself so don't know what the doctor might suggest. I am on the waiting list for cbt though. Perhaps your doctor might suggest this as well .
I think it depends on the type of anxiety you suffer from. Could be benzodiazepines which can make you sleepy but I'm not an expert at all!
I've heard other symptoms being weight gain and such but I think there are different ones and your doctor should be able to find one that you're happy with
