Just rang up to change address for my waiting list for therapy, now I am out of area after a 6 month wait. Can get a docs appointment in 3 weeks to start all over again. Fed up!

Hi 2manytreats I so know how you must be feeling I had a similar experience trying to get the help I needed . could you ask if you talk to the Dr on the phone in the meantime . . I know its not much help to you to say hang in there you will get there eventually . you can always ring the Samaritans if you need to talk ...... they have been really great for me ; just to talk things through when my frustration levels hit the roof . I would be interested to know how you get on . all the best
Thank you,
Yes I know its quite common for people to have to wait and for there to be cut of points about distance for each place etc. I guess it just shows what need there is for this kind of support, makes me think about how we can keep on top of things in between, within the community etc ( I suppose thats why I joined here!)
I have had a voicemail today saying that perhaps I can still be on their waiting list if my dicots is the same and only my address has changed - which is how it is, so maybe I won't be back to square one after all!
I'm sorry you had to do lots of waiting, Its so frustrating. How are you now? Do you feel you cope better now after therapy?
