So many different approaches to this problem.... For me I think I have always know where my soft spots were.... Maybe just the awareness of how strong a feeling anxiety is.... could be a way to look at ways of controlling it.... as you know there are so many theories on why it happens. much love steve .

Thankyou, yeah I agree, but at 16, I'd hate to think ill have this forever I wish I could live my normal life and stop worrying about things like heart attacks! Which may never happen to ne and not at this age :/ for me it was probably google before I came here I googled a lot and seen heart attack symptoms which you may get with anxiety such as chest arm pains etc and it sets me off!xx

It would be sad if you had this long term. but I think it is best not to worry or think about this as we don't know wht is going to happen in the future. Do you have any help /support from cHams if not it might be worth talking to your doctor about this. Alsao I would definitely reccomend no googling this really does not help people with anxiety.

Maybe while you are waiting for appointment you could look at some of the websites reccomended on here as these might give you some strategies that help. A very good friend has said that mindfulness helps her to cope the majority of the time. Personally I find talking to friends and family and relaxation techniques work best for me.

Hi Pink

I think it can be overcome........ I think the nature of this condition is generally we are worryiers....... For me I think that's what anxiety is...... so I think yes it can be overcome but we have to be aware of not being overloaded with stuff.... that's just my take on it for me..... not saying Im right but its how I think!!

I do think positive thinking is the key to recovery which I know is very hard when youre anxious!!
