Hi I'm new here, I've been taking 80mg propranalol slow release daily, I wanted to come off them so doc prescribed 40mg that aren't slow release, it's my first night on lower dose and I'm feeling really cold and shivering, can anyone advise on this?

Hi and welcome to the site. I take 80mg slow release and I get really cold at night. I'm afraid I don't know about 40mg maybe it's a side effect from changing your dose. I'm sorry I cannot be of anymore help but I'm sure someone will have some more info. You could always ask the pharmacist tomorrow to see if they can give you an answer.

Take care xx

Hi & Welcome

I would imagine as well that this could be the reduced dose making you feel this way while your body adjusts to having less & will settle down

Like Winter says , maybe ask the Chemist tomorrow if it is worrying you or even ask to speak to your GP just to check & give you peace of mind
