Terrible nights sleep.....

Went to doctor today, he has referred me to community mental health. Couldn't get a good night's sleep, tried sleeping when I got back from the docs but just tossed and turned for a few hours. Feeling shaky.........the worst is not being able to switch off the mind.

I am sorry you are not feeling good

The MH team can be the best place to be referred to , they will access you & get you the right help , I no it means a little wait maybe , but as we say , this cant be rushed , but as you are still not feeling good , I see this as positive news :)

Hope those boys are doing well :)

Hi London-man

Sorry to hear your struggling at the moment.

When you do not get a nights sleep the whole day is affected where your physical well being and mental well being is affected.

Glad you have been referred maybe this will give you the support you need to relax and sleep well.

For weeks now i have gone to bed tired and laid for hours thinking and getting annoyed that i cannot sleep and your correct in saying it is because we cannot switch off. The mind plays overtime

Once you have managed and learnt how to relax the more likely you will be able to sleep undisturbed.

I wish you all the best

Love Seyi xxx

Over the last few nights I have averaged 3 hours sleep, and I am working 2 13 hour shifts. I am physically exhausted but can't shut down my brain. It's making me ill. Any ideas would be welcome. I find my anxiety worse at night

Hi LM, had been wondering where you were.

Sorry things aren't so good, hopefully your referral will help.

Sometimes when sleep eludes me I stop trying. I prop myself up in bed & tackle a crossword or Sudoku. Usually I end up falling asleep with the pen in my hand.

Now you may not be into puzzles but is there something that would make you concentrate, even a daft game on your phone or something? Might be worth a try.

Hope you are sleeping now & have a better day tomorrow

x
