did your anxiety increase after taking higher doze

No it didn't, the only time that has happened was with my previous tablets when he increased them. I have taken 4 different sort of tablets and its only happened once! Xx

I must admit I took both tablets for a while whilst I changing over, I felt fine until it was time to come off the old tablets and then I felt really ill. Xx

taking the increase sounds like the rite thing to do

Hiya Bramble. My doctor increased my sertroline from 100 to 150 because it wasn't very effective. I found 150 much better. I was also told I could take the full lot in one go in the morning instead of spacing them out during the day. I do this now and it's fine.

Hello Brambles,

Yes, I was on 50mg of sertaline which was increased to 100mg (one per day) but I really don't feel any difference. All the best to you.

It normally takes about a week for the increased dose to take full effect. I've just increased my Mirtazapine from 15mg to 30mg and so far its ok. Increasing your dose is nothing to worry about and far easier than changing tablets of course.

Hi Bramble. You should have felt some benefit by now. If not there is no harm in changing. The problem with antidepressants is that what works for one person, doesn't work for someone else, so you have to keep trying for one that benefits you. If you do decide to change make sure your GP prescribes a different type, i.e. not just another SSRI if that is what you're on now. Good luck.

Ive been on Zoloft use for a while. My Dr says that you have to max it to 200mg before switching. Ive been taking 150mg and still not much help so today I'm starting to take 200mg. He said it can only help. Any suggestions or experiences? Thank you.

Thank you all so much for sharing it helps tons just knowing you're not alone. I have been on Sertraline 100 mg once a day for the past 6 years, but noticed about 6-8 months ago that my crying spells and anxiety were back. I saw pdoc today to talk about anxiety and its effects on my functioning. I haven't driven myself in a car for the past 8 yrs or so due to my first panic attack in a car, the doc seemed surprised about this which made me feel a bit crappy. Any advoidance experiences or anxiety that prevented driving? If so, please share.

As for increase, I've been instructed to go from 100-150 mg once a day and to take klonopin as needed for panic. I chose this route as opposed to adding Wellbutrin to the Sertraline. I'm hesitant to increase but, I have to function better.
