Hello all, I'm new to this site. Doctor this morning has switched my meds from citalopram to sertraline, should I be worried about switchin?

Hi sadgie

Just wanted to say welcome

Think we all feel new at the moment , as we have been moved on this site from our old one , so I hope you will find it easy to join in & feel free to join in with some of the humor we have on here from time to time , its not for everyone , but some of us have a little banter to take the edge of how serious this is when we feel up to it

I personally dont take meds , but lots will give you their advise that do

Having said that , there are plenty that have been swapped from one med to another & it is a common thing GP 'S seem to do & there is nothing to be afraid of , even though I no that is easy for me to say

Take it a day at a time & before you no it you will have swapped over

Keep talking on here , no matter what you feel , it really helps

I am now on sertraline and have had no side effects. Sometimes it can take a few different meds before they get the right one. Stick with it. Look after yourself

hi sadgie my wife is on sertraline tabs , 45mg, had no effects so far , doc has had to add mirtazapine at night as well to help her sleep, hope it works for you, take care. xx

Hi newton , I am so sorry for your loss & please express my deepest sympathy on to your wife as well

Yes we are all struggling on here & not adapting very well at all , I feel it has very much lost the community spirit , as we are struggling to find each other

Talk soon

Love to both of you

Thanks so much guys for your responses, have been trying to heal myself for a while now and have felt very alone in trying to make sense and understand why I have come to find myself suffering from panic attacks on a regular basis. Its so good to see this community and touch base with people who understand! Day one on the sertraline and so far so good!

Xxxs to all
