Don't worry about taking the medication. Do you have someone close to you that can sit with you when you take it? These pills are taken so often by so many people that even when the tiny fraction of users have bad things happen, it must be reported. Most of them are fairly safe and if you don't like them, you can always go off of them.

I have taken Zoloft, Paxil, Effexor, Buspar and Celexa. None did the job, other than Effexor, but it raised my blood pressure too much.

Blimey we're to start dizzy weak tired feeling bloated of balance heart racing sweaty hands cold feet headaches pins and needles my eye sight goes funny x

Hi Saz12345, I've been on Lexapro (escitalopram) for the last 6 years and have never had a problem. I was even able to wean off my benzos because of being on this drug. Of course, everyone responds differently to medications. For myself, it doesn't make me lethargic or cloudy heady. It is not a sedative drug like some. Saying that, you can only try it and see if that might be what works for you. Just remember that the answer to anxiety is not in the drug itself, we have to do our part as well. Good Luck.
