no sex drive

Hi everyone, im going to post a weird question, after i suffer from anxiety i have no desire for sex and it is effecting my relationship with my husband...I have so much anxiety about panic attack that it totally kills my sex drive...does anyone have the same problem if so how do you handle it

Hi, oh my god u have just opened my eyes! I have know I have anxiety n recently found that my sex drive had disappeared I thought it was my relationship but with ur post makes me really think I shud see a doctor. So thank u and clearly in answer to ur question you are not alone. X

Hi good to know im not alone, for me its mostly to do with fear you know---im just scared that something might hapen during sex

Hi Feely ( I cant be bothered to spell it all),

This reply is for you and all our friends with similar problem's Loss of sex drive is one of the first symptoms to manifest it self in any illness caused by anxiety, stress or depression, and is all too common unfortunatley. However It will not last as soon as your main problems are sorted your sex drive will be one of the first symptom to disappear. (think of all the fun that awaits you), that should help.

Hi Mariae I take anti-depresents and my sex drive has virtually disappeared. I can only do it now when I have had a drink! I think it is a common side effect of anxiety/depression and the meds.

Hi hyper could be but i ve had this problem even before im on anti depresant so i dont knoow

Hey hypercat,

You are 100% correct, if you can do it after a drink shows theres no problems other than in your head caused by the depression, and / or the pills. Think how lucky you can still do it, o by the way, mines a pint

HI, I'm on Fluoxetine and my sex drive has driven off too!

I'm a 48-year-old male and this is becoming a strain on our relationship, I've also tried Sertraline but it made no difference sadly!
