iv been on 30mg of citalapam now for about a year and my anxiety i would say it fairly under control. I still have pains and things but I note that they are there and move on. Before I was on any medication I was able to climax no problem at all but now im massively struggling. Sorry about the ' to much info ' but I feel like iv no 1 else to ask ?
Thanks

These medications can lower your sex drive and cause problems it is quite common
I suppose you have to ask yourself which is the most important are the meds making you feel ok in every other way and can you live with the fact it is taking you longer to climax when having sex
If you can't then you could always speak with your Doctor and see if they can try you on a different medication
Hi thanks for your reply it deffo hasn't lowered my sexdrive its just frustrating to not climax i think it actually gets my husband abit down! Cant win 🤣 I could maybe lower my dose after speaking to my doctor obviously x
I have this issue with Lexapro. I have zero sex drive anymore, but it's the only antidepressant that helps. I know it's hard for my husband, but I have to take care of me and keep myself in a mentally stable place.
iv only tried sertraline which was awful. And citalapam id be happy to just go down to 20mg and i think that would be better but obviously if I need it I need it! Xxx
I take 30mg of Citalapram and I have to say I haven’t noticed any difference when it comes to climaxing. However, what I would say is make sure you don’t put too much pressure on yourself as sometimes the more you think about it the harder it becomes. Try to plan a relaxed night where you can wind down as much as possible and take your time, don’t put too much pressure on anything and just enjoy yourself. I know it’s easier said than done but I think this could hopefully help you! Xx
Hey thanks for the reply. Your 100% right with the putting pressure on myself I think soon as we do anything im like yeah not gonna happen then it dosnt. I need to take a step back chill and just not think about it xx
