Dinner to blame?

So I have had a few panic spells throughout the day but they have quickly gone away and I've just got on with my day, I came home and had my dinner about half 5 and maybe an hour after that I started to get pain in my chest and flutters in my throat...my dinner feels like it isn't digesting well and nearly 5 hours after eating it I'm sat on my bed in a right state. My whole left side is sore and every time I take a deep breath to calm myself my heart flutters even more.

Any tips on what to do? I tried some Gaviscon there Incase I've maybe got indigestion or something.

Indigestion , I get the same

OK dont panic , when we are anxious we seem to have this problem , & the flutters you get that will be indigestion

Buy some Manuka 10+ honey , take a teaspoon up to 3 times a day that really helps

Oh lovely whywhy how glad I am to see your lovely name.

Reading that calmed me down right away :-)

Where can I get this honey? Out a supermarket or a health food store?

i get this aswell Ashley, however i think mine is self inflicted, you see i eat laying down , which isent often as no appetite. For now try some boiled water and walk up and down if you can and see if you can release some wind, as you may have some . Don't panic it will clear .

How come you eat laying down? If you don't mind me asking?

Because i had bad vertigo and couldent sit up straight without my head going dizzy, so it got to be a habit, and now where i have done it for so long, when i do sit up my head is very whoozie so to get away from that , i am always laying down, and must admit i feel a prisoner to the sofa other than i go for short walks round the block.

I have suffered just like you , got so worried , I even had that pipe thing done when they put camera down your throat

Any way they explaine that when you are anxious you gulp alot of air & when you are eating you may not realize you are , but that makes air pockets & gives you all these pains , I would even get them in my back hips , ribs , you name it

So they put me on meds

Then several years later it wasnt getting any better

So someone told me about the honey

Now its 12 quid a jar , but can last 3 weeks , so that works out at 4 quid a week , less than 2 pints of beer :D

So I started taking 3 teaspoons a day , one morning , dinner & night , well after 2 weeks I was so much better , i dont take the tablets now

I take one spoonful a day & if I have eaten something that gives me indigestion sometimes I might take 2

You no that fluttering you get , try rubbing firm , not to hard though the middle of your chest bone upwards , you mat find you burp lol

Anyway after all that , I get mine from Tesco

Make sure its the 10+ though not 5+ they do it in 2 strengths

Not sure but other supermarkets may do it as well ,its just I shop at Tesco lol

I am sure it should be alright , its a natural thing , it is also good for colds & all sorts , if you google it you will see the write ups about it

I normally wouldnt advise google but on this one you are ok lol

Wise though to ask , I always do that , because you never no , if you are taking other meds

Well to be honest I have learnt what upsets me , so if i eat it then I no I will get indgistion

Spicy food though can be a disaster & pastry , but I have them now & again , o & beer lol well its full of acid lol

Eat slow though & make sure you chew your food , dont be in a rush gulping it down lol

Funny someone said to me the other I eat far too fast and I should be taking my time rather than forcing it down my throat lol xxx

Like new pic ;)

When we are anxious , we do tend to eat quick , we dont even realize we are , it can take some practice as well , learning how to slow down & chew , but try , It will help

I thought I've been here long enough, so time for a pic lol.

I don't have a lot of patience so when I'm hungry I just want it in my belly as quick as poss lol xxx

Luv your new pic whywhy. I tend to eat quickly ( a result of coming from quite a large family and being worried there would be no seconds left though there always were). Lol. I often get indigestion because of this. And its worse when I am stressed or extra anxious. I find milk helps mine a lot. Haven't tried honey though...
